G.O.! Get Online Scheme 

Now more than ever, we all need to be online. For many, no access to computers and technology can be prohibitive and isolating. 

To make sure everyone has the resources they need, Sunderland City Council has partnered with Protech City Ltd. to offer low-cost I.T. equipment to registered charities. 

To be eligible, these charities need to be VCS Area Network members under the G.O.! Get Online Scheme. They must want to use the equipment to: 

• Help residents get online by providing access to IT equipment 
• Support them to access free internet access in community buildings or support them in accessing broadband at home 
• Provide support to residents to improve their digital skills 
• Assist the organisation to run more effectively 

If you feel your organisation is eligible, please complete the online application form. 

What is available? 

Desktops, laptops and tablets cost a flat fee of £120 (inc. VAT). Desktops and laptops come with genuine Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Business software and a Windows 10 operating system that includes anti-virus. 

Projectors are also available, but no warranty is offered. Instead, Protech have checked the device works and will supply a power and display cable for £48 (inc. VAT). 

How to donate? 

Computer donations to this scheme are always appreciated. Sunderland City Council regularly gives a number of used desktops and laptops that are suitable for reuse.

Residents can donate too, in fact we encourage the whole City of Sunderland to get involved. You just need to book a slot at one of the G.O.! Get Online donation points, pop along with the kit and Protech will do the rest.
