Sunderland Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment - Statutory Consultation 2025-2028
Sunderland Health and Wellbeing Board must publish a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) which details current and planned pharmacy provision in Sunderland. The next PNA is due to be published by 20th July 2025 and must be made available for a statutory consultation period of 60 days before it is published. What is the PNA?
The PNA covers the following:
- A description of community pharmacies in Sunderland
- An assessment of health needs now and in the future
- An assessment of current service provision and access, including any gaps
- An assessment of the contribution that community pharmacy can make to health and wellbeing in Sunderland, now and in the future
- Key messages from stakeholder engagement activity undertaken during the development of the PNA.
We will consider what people tell us when we complete the final PNA, and this will be published on our website on 20th July 2025.
