Reason for removal

After an initial visual inspection and then a further Highway inspection, the decision has been made to remove this tree due to tree roots causing significant damage to the footpath. There has been previous ramping to the footpath but the roots continued to damage the footpath making it no longer fit for pedestrians. The council considers there are no viable long-term engineering or tree management solutions available as an alternative to removing the tree.

A replacement tree will be planted in a suitable location.
