Local Welfare Provision scheme (council support) - new draft

The council's Local Welfare Provision Scheme can provide welfare support under certain circumstances. The Scheme will make awards subject to the amount of budget remaining.

If you have money issues, you are vulnerable and can not meet your immediate needs, you might be eligible.

• Crisis Support - may help with food if a local foodbank is unable to. Fuel for prepayment meter customers in an unforeseen crisis or emergency. Crisis Support may also help with a set of replacement clothing.
• Community Care Support - may help towards costs of essential furniture and white goods when moving into a new home. By exception, towards the costs of defined essential replacement items. Please use the links below for full details and qualifying criteria.
