BIPC Locals
Sunderland Libraries Services are helping to give the city's businesses a boost by providing access to the Business and Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC).
BIPC, in conjunction with the British Library, provides free information and advice for inventors, start-ups and existing businesses, offering access to collections of hard-copy materials and databases and can open up the path to entrepreneurship for anyone with a business idea, regardless of their background.
Local History Library @ ETR will provide an extension of the existing regional service in Newcastle, which has already supported over 14,000 new and growing businesses in the region. Visitors to the Local History Library @ ETR will have access to databases including COBRA, GRANTfinder EMIS, Local Company Data, Frost & Sullivan, IbisWorld and Kompass to access company statistics, market trends and consumer behaviours as well as finding funding opportunities to help develop new products or explore new markets.
The BIPC will open at Local History Library @ ETR on Fawcett Street from Wednesday 7 July. For appointments please contact: bipcnortheast@newcastle.gov.uk
Customers can also approach staff at City Library for initial enquiries and signposting.
