Schools and ICT

We have continued to support a number of schools with their IT requirements throughout this academic year. In addition to our standard SLA offerings, we have been working with certain schools to improve their infrastructure or their ways of working.

At the request of a primary school to support the upgrade of their server infrastructure and to provide full wireless coverage, we delivered a future proofed network. Using Cisco Meraki Access Points, we improved the local network and wireless performance for the school. Provisioning permissions using Active Directory we have given management privileges to Teachers based on policies set up - which allows the school to control access.

Enabling remote working for one of our secondary schools has recently been achieved; allowing much more flexibility in how the staff manage their workloads and demands whilst ensuring the data remains within the school servers, reducing any associated risks of working off site with personal and sensitive datasets. Through developing a group within Citrix Access Gateway; staff can now log onto their school servers wherever they are using two-factor authentication and view their desktops as if they were sitting in their school offices.
