The council will assess all expressions of interest on the proposed use, experience of the trader and trade and financial references once a stall becomes available. If a proposed use is unsuitable then the applicant will be advised as soon as the form is received.

If you are a new business and are unable to provide trade and financial references then we will accept a business plan which will be checked by the council's financial resources department.

All tenants will be expected to enter into a quarterly tenancy with Sunderland City Council and will be responsible for the council's reasonable administration fees.

When units become vacant stalls will be advertised and interested parties who have expressed an interest will be contacted.

Jacky Whites Market is located at the main entrance of the Bridges Shopping Centre from Market Square. It is 10 minutes walk from Park Lane Interchange and 5 minutes walk from Sunderland Central train and metro station. There are several car parks located close by at the Bridges, St Mary's and Sunniside.
