Most businesses pay their business rates over ten months from April to January; when and how much to pay is shown on your bill.

Direct Debit

The easiest way to pay is by Direct Debit. If you choose to pay by Direct Debit you can pay on 1st, 5th, 8th, 15th, 23rd or 28th of the month. If you pay any other way your payment must be made on 5th of the month.

Advantages of paying by Direct Debit:

  • You don't have to remember to make a payment as a request to your bank will be made by us
  • You will be notified of your monthly payments 10 working days before the first payment is due
  • Apart from checking your bank statement you don't have to do anything else
  • By becoming a Direct Debit payer you help keep the cost of collecting business rates low
