The free event will give supporters the chance to enjoy the excitement of the match on a big screen in the heart of the city, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere for families, friends and football fans alike.

Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, with pre-match build-up beginning from 7pm ahead of the 8pm kick-off.

Limited seating will be available in the square, and a range of food and refreshments can be purchased from nearby businesses around Keel Square.

Whether you're coming with family, friends or fellow supporters, Keel Square is the perfect place to share every moment of England's journey as they aim to reach the World Cup final.

Councillor Chris Eynon, Leader of Sunderland City Council, said: "We're delighted to be bringing people together in Keel Square to support England in what promises to be an exciting World Cup semi-final. Events like this create a fantastic community atmosphere, giving residents and visitors the opportunity to enjoy a major sporting occasion together. We look forward to welcoming supporters of all ages for what we hope will be another memorable evening in the city centre."
