This course is for anyone aged 19 or over who is interested in working within the children and young person's workforce. This qualification is designed to build the knowledge and skills needed when working with children and young people from birth to 19 years. It is suitable for those in full or part time learning or employment. It covers a diverse range of job roles and occupational areas - including those in social care settings and offers a wealth of career opportunities. Learners will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement as they need to show competence in both knowledge and skills. Learners will need to undergo a DBS check and undertake 250 hours practical placement. On completion learners will be able to work unsupervised with children and young people. Course duration is 1 day each week for approximately 14 weeks. | |
