2021 - A Year of Events

Sunderland City Council is putting plans in place for an exciting year of events.

Kaiser Chiefs

The city events calendar is filling up fast and will hopefully see the return of some of the city's much-loved events, as well as exciting brand-new additions such as Lamplight Festival currently scheduled for 7-8 August in Mowbray Park, featuring artists Kaiser Chiefs and Deacon Blue.

All events will be subject to government regulations at the time and may be subject to change with some even moving online like they did in 2020, however there will be plenty to look forward to throughout 2021.

Cllr Linda Williams, Cabinet Member for Vibrant City, said: "We are all ready for a bit of happiness in our lives and our favourite Sunderland events will hopefully help bring a little bit of cheer to us this year.

"Whether they happen like they did in previous years or need to be changed in line with restrictions, they will still be the events we all know and love and will help showcase our amazing vibrant city."
