Transfer ownership of a licensed vehicle to another owner

When a licensed vehicle is sold to another person you must inform us.  You can download a transfer application for:

• Application to transfer ownership of Hackney Carriage to another person (pdf)
• Application to transfer ownership of a private hire vehicle to another owner (pdf)

Once you have completed the application form bring it into one of our  with:

• Insurance document.  This has got to be a certificate of insurance or cover note and not a schedule.
• Proof of sale or written confirmation of transfer if the outgoing owner has not completed the transferring interest section on the application form
• Transfer administration fee of £25.00

Once they receive you application form, the licensing team will update their records.
