The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Consort will officiate a Citizenship Ceremony at 2.30pm which will be held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland SR1 3AA. 

Wednesday 18 September 2024

The Mayor and Deputy Mayor will attend a pre-council meeting at 3pm followed by the full     
council meeting at 4pm. These meetings will take place at City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland 
SR1 3AA. 

Thursday 19 September 2024

The Mayor and Consort will attend the Wearside Women in Need Red Flag Project Workshop at 11am which will be held at EDF Energy, Endeavour House, 2 Victory Way, Sunderland SR3 3XE. The Mayor will meet with the event organisers and guests before participating in the workshop.

The Mayor and Consort will support the Chair of Northumberland at his Charity Concert featuring the Morpeth and Ellington Colliery Band which will be held at St John's Church, Newbiggin Road, Ashington NE63 0TH at 6.30pm. All proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Chair's chosen charity Young Lives vs Cancer.

The Mayor and Consort will meet with members of The Royal British Legion in the Mayor's Parlour, City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland at 2pm where the Mayor will follow the tradition of purchasing the first poppy ahead of the official launch of the Poppy Appeal Campaign 2024. 

Saturday 21 September 2024

The Mayor and Consort will attend the Sunderland v Middlesborough football match, which is being held at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland. Kick-off is at 12.30pm.

Sunday 22 September 2024

The Mayor and Consort will attend the annual Active Sunderland BIG Walk at 9.30am which will be held in Herrington Country Park, Chester Road, Sunderland. The Mayor will welcome participants before officially starting the walk.
